Untitled Intervention
‘Untitled Intervention' reflected the industrial origins and historical heritage of the space in which it was exhibited. The exhibition space at Byam Shaw School of Art was part of a modernist industrial building, built in the 1930s.

The exposed pipe work was a contemporary industrial aspect of the building. The pipes formed part of the central heating system running along the ceiling, which connected the entire building.

The central heating system was painted green with an industrial paint used to prevent rust and corrosion.
A standard colour coded paint system is used in industrial environments to help identify industrial processes. The green colour used for 'Untitled Intervention' indicates water.
